Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on a fenced throne supported by four adorants, his right hand in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing monastic garment including underskirt and mantle, its borders cast with scrolling tendrils, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes and his curled hair continuing into the ushnisha and topped with a lotus bud.
From the collection of the merchant Alfred Julius Forkel (1873-1934), acquired in China before 1910, described in the collector's diary, written between 1901 and 1910, on page 74, no. 15 (?) - Minor wear, slightly chipped, few small repairs
